Home Security – Arlo Cameras

Home security systems can get expensive with recurring monitoring service fees and the initial installation setup by a technician.

This was a larger investment for us, but an easy one, after our mail was being stolen. The Arlo Pro 2 station and cameras are the clearest and easiest to install cameras on the market. Arlo offers a nice free storage for 7 days with options to upgrade a camera or group of cameras continued video recording and additional storage. The cameras are 1080p HD and allow for two way sound. Can be wired in or the batteries last 3-6 months depending on outdoor temperature. Linking the cameras to SmartThings treats them as motion sensors allowing for our outdoor lights to be triggered on/off late at night.
