Security Backpack - PacSafe Murse
Securing items while traveling is incredibly important and I was shocked by the ways thieves take advantage of tourists and every day commuters in bigger cities. I was also impressed by how comfortable and functional the PacSafe sling backpack was, or murse as my wife calls it. This has ended up as a regular backpack for summer outings with the family.
So what is the best murse? First, a man purse, or murse. The PacSafe Camsafe X9 Anti-Theft Sling Backpack, or murse, is something that grew on me. Its small size, comfortable strap, and variety of pockets is the perfect light weight bag.
We first used this PacSafe Camsafe as a travel camera bag for Mallory’s big wedding photography camera. It has very quickly became my go to bag when I didn’t need to carry a full laptop. The anti theft features make it incredibly reliable and well built to withstand some heavy usage. Around home its not so much about the security worry, but they make it feel more rugged because the bag holds its shape so well.
Primary PacSafe Security Features:
eXomesh - thin wire mesh running through the entire outside.
Carrysafe - thicker wire running through the strap in a complete circle.
RFIDsafe - RFID skimming protection technology in front pockets.
Zip Clip - Locking zipper clips that limit easy access for pickpockets.
In addition to the advanced anti-theft technology that makes it incredibly solid, the bag is very well organized. It has three primary pockets and one side pouch, along with a hidden pocket on the bottom for the rain shield.
Front Pocket: Flat area for cards, money, wallet, room keys, or other smaller pocket items. This area has the RFIDsafe pocket for credit cards.
Center Pocket: Big configurable pocket that holds its shape well. It typically has our portable battery charger, phones, water bottle, and anything else we’ve got along like the GoPro.
Back Pocket: Thin and wide pocket, this is the entire back area and good for folded documents or letter type items. Postcards or stickers that we’ve bought along the way end up in here. Anything too large starts to feel uncomfortable on the back.
Side Pocket: This is good for an umbrella or small tripod/selfie stick. I found keeping our heavy metal insulated water bottle on the side was too much for it to hold when swinging around to my back.
*Hidden rain gear pocket: At the very bottom there is a little tab on the back that includes a raincoat for the bag. We’ve also stashed two cheap small ponchos.
