The home energy marketplace is very overwhelming to a newcomer. It involves many different areas that are typically new to most still. Everything from really taking a look at your utility bill and rate options, trying to figure out kW vs. kWh. Then to move into the hardware options and hear more about kW ratings and kWh sizing but also understanding AC vs. DC and efficiency ratings.

I have helped many family and close friends navigate the upgrades and changes to their energy usage at home.

The Consulting Options:

  • Intro & Overview: Starts with a simple meeting to gather data and understand the goals, available options, and typical price ranges of options depending on goals.

    • $150 - 60 minute Zoom Meeting

    • I will provide a list of questions and helpful information to have on hand prior to the call

  • Detailed Quote Review: If you’re a bit farther into the process I would enjoy providing a non-bias review of the vendors quotes you have already received. Remember you should always get three (3) different quotes.

    • $350 - 60 minute Zoom meeting to summarize the options and any differences in quotes.

    • Include a slide with easy comparison that you receive after the meeting.

    • This process ensures you’re understanding all the benefits - it is very hard to compare apples-to-apples with the variety of hardware configurations.

  • Full design and layout options: I will come onsite and discuss the layout, positioning, and design options. I will then provide a detailed scope of work based on your preferred design to help receive quotes for a variety of vendors.

    • $1,400 - Requires local site visit

    • Receive a detailed writeup of design requirements and scope of work for bidding.

    • Additional hours and options available upon request. '

Be aware, there are a lot of installation contractors out there making huge commissions on each project. Ensure you take your time and understand all energy upgrades.
