The Ring Doorbell 2 is a good addition to fulfill the old function of a standard doorbell. This works well for direct notification and interaction with someone standing at the door vs. just getting a motion notification on Arlo cameras. The Ring offers its own dedicated application and the ability to “Answer” your door from anywhere in the world.

Ring was purchased by Amazon and has long been the standard for doorbell replacements. An interesting point is that Ring is thought to work closely with local law enforcement when or if any nefarious activities occur in the area.
