ZigBee Thermostat – Leviton

The Leviton RC-1000WHZB is a perfect, non-Nest or Google, home thermostat to incorporate into the Home Automation system of your choice. This comes configured with ZigBee Home Automation (HA) and easily pairs with a SmartThings hub.

The Leviton offers a simple weekly program schedule on the device itself that we have setup, however we find ourselves using more of the SmartThings automation to change the set point based on the time of day or if we’re away.

A huge energy saver for us was when we turned up the set point in the summer and cycled the fan when our home had no motion for 12 hours. This was great when we’d go to the cabin for the weekend and I wouldn’t have to think about changing it before we leave for the weekend.
